Tŷ’r Edafedd: The Yarn House Lecture Series
Tŷ’r Edafedd: The Yarn House Lecture Series is a quarterly programme of guest lectures curated by The Valleys Yarnhouse, created to celebrate yarn, craft and the many stories woven through them through history. The series brings people together to learn, listen and be inspired. Whether you join us in person at the Yarn House or online from wherever you are.
At Tŷ’r Edafedd we welcome speakers from across the craft spectrum. Our lecturers include museum curators, farmers, spinners, designers, lifelong makers and cultural figures, each offering a unique perspective on fibre, making and material culture. Together, these talks explore the past, present and future of yarn crafts, from heritage practices to contemporary innovation.
Each lecture is hosted in at the Yarnhouse in Abtertillery, with a limited number of places available to attend in person. To ensure the series remains accessible, all talks are also streamed online and are free to view. Whether you are a seasoned maker, a curious learner, or simply someone who loves the world of yarn, you are warmly invited to take part.
Attendance is free, but booking is essential for both in-person and online events.
