Sailor's beanie

Inspired by the working coasts of the UK, our Sailor’s Beanie is handmade at the Yarnhouse in Abertillery, drawing on maritime knitwear traditions shaped by life on deck and at sea. Sharing the same authentic coastal roots as our fisherman’s hat, this version features a clean, turn-up-free profile, historically favoured for ease of movement and comfort in changing conditions.

Knitted from 100% wool and naturally protected by lanolin oils, it provides warmth, breathability, and resilience against wind and weather without unnecessary bulk. Finished with our signature wooden “Knitted at Sea” toggle, each piece reflects a quiet commitment to craft, function, and place.

Available in cream, oatmeal, and heather-brown, with a more traditional option also offered in 100% Welsh and Cornish Ryeland wool yarn for added historical accuracy.
