Solva Harbour DK(+) 50g

Solva harbour in Pembrokeshire holds many special memories for so many people. For us, back in 2008 spending family time there with my old Greyhound. It's beautiful nautical setting and sailing traditions inspired us to craft a slightly larger than DK 'Maritime Yarn' the colour of light sailcloth.

This is 4 thread spun wool made to order for us using 100% wool from across the UK. It is just over DK weight, and made in small batches. We find this an excellent hand knitting wool, great for crochet and also useful for felting uses. Perfect for your nautical knitting.

Characteristics:

1. 100% Wool
2. 50g =1.764 oz 109.36 yd (100 m)
3. Medium/DK weight
4. Knitting Needles: 8 - 7 (4 - 4.5 mm)
5. Crochet hook: 6 - 5 (5 - 5.5 mm)

Tensions:

1. Knitting: 18 sts × 24 rows = 4" (10 cm)
2. Crochet: 13 sts × 17 rows = 4" (10 cm)
